August 10, 2005 Update
In just one week, we have raised $3075 towards the unanticipated additional cost of $4818 for our new electric motor thanks to generous donations, large and small!
This means we have enough funds to reinstate the Wednesday night shows beginning this week.
PLEASE NOTE: Different times for the Wednesday and Friday shows.
All shows on shore next to The Boathouse.
Wed August 13 5:30 - 7:00 PM Conn Smythe
Thu August 14 6:30 - 8:00 PM HWY 19
Fri August 15 2:00 - 3:30 PM Trish Harris & Townline Slim
Filling Lake Victoria without significant precipitation will be a slow process and it is difficult to forecast how quickly it can be filled.

August 2, 2025 UPDATE:
Good news! The debris is cleared and the sluice gate on the dam is closed. Now we wait for the lake to refill.
At the Friday August 1 show (featuring Steve Adair and Tony Rozic), Skipper Dan thanked the on-shore crowd for coming out and supporting The Boathouse and The Razzamajazz.
He also shared a bit more bad news: the cost of the electric motor came in at $4818.00 over budget. We're reaching out to ask our community to contribute any amount, large or small, to cover this unanticipated cost. The best way to donate funds is to send an eTransfer to razzamajazz1992@gmail.com
In the memo line, please include your name(s) if you're OK with being acknowledged or Anonymous if you're not. Thank you!
For the next few weeks, we will be doing just two shows a week: Thursday and Friday from the location next to The Boathouse.
July 30, 2025 UPDATE:
Following a significant rainfall on July 24, a sluice gate on the Dam that controls the water level in Lake Victoria was raised and debris under the gate is preventing it from fully closing. As a result, Lake Victoria is draining at a rate of 25mm/hr.
"The draw down will continue until the water level reaches a point where staff can safely access the gate and remove the debris. The gate will then be closed again so that the reservoir can begin to refill, while maintaining downstream flows. How quickly it refills will depend on how much rain we get."
